Want to Trade Ammo for PM

As part of my prep hoard, I've been stocking up on ammo and have a bit too much (if that is possible)....and would be interested in trading some of my AMMO for your PM.

In particular, I have a lot of 12 ga Shotgun Slugs. They are custom reloads utilizing the same components as a Winchester AA Trap Load...so they are not too heavy....think "Managed Recoil". They use a once fired Winchester AA Trap Hull.....use same load as the factory 3 dram equiv Winchester AA Super Handicap Trap Load....but instead of 1.125 oz shot payload, uses a 1.0 oz slug. The slug is cast using a Lee Mold....has a drive feature on the bottom to grip the wad cup....works in smooth or rifled bores....the standard trap wad cup acts as a sabot. Has less recoil than a trap load due to lighter weight projectile....but still producing over 2000 lb-ft of energy.

I shoot these in a Rem 870 with rifled barrel...very accurate out to 100 yrds...have used to kill deer here in Michigan.

Would be willing to trade 10 boxes of 25 per box = 1 case = 250 rounds for 10 ozt silver. Using 50:1 Silver:Gold.....same trade for 2 x 1/10 ozt gold. That includes delivered postage.

Can customize trade.... Let me know what you think.

is that a typo? did you say 2000 ft lb energy? is that per box?
I shoot a lot of reloaded ammo, but NOT some one elses.
for long term storage, it's all factory for me.

Have you ever calculated projectile energy or momentum?

Yes, 2000 ft-lbs energy....which is pretty low for a 12 ga shotgun. Full power factory slugs are often over 3000 ft-lbs of energy....and you feel it! A full power 12 ga slug is probably the heaviest recoil energy load you can shoot out of any gun you own. It is a function of muzzle energy (0.5 * mass * velocity^2)....but more so of momentum (mass * velocity) ....and a 1 oz projectile is very heavy (438 grains). Go out and buy a few....I bet you will not want to shoot them more than 3 or 4 rounds...very punishing. Check out the Remington Buckhammers.....they have more recoil energy than any factory (Rem, Win, Fed) rifle load other than the .458 Winchester Magnum and .416 Magnum.

Most people do not realize the power and performance of a full on 12 ga slug....and at .72 caliber....no terminal expansion required! The 12 slug is my #1 choice against dangerous game ......including man.

There is no difference in shelf life of a reloaded shotgun shell and a factory shell....both use identical components...once fired WWAA Hull, Win 209 primer, WAA12 Wad, Winchester Ball Powder......100% exact same formula as the factory...except in this case, a 1oz slug replaces the 1.25oz shot.

A lot of folks do not reload.....and only have the option of much more expensive factory loads....

Also - built one at a time on a simple MEC Jr (not a progressive press)....if you know anything about the MEC Jr shot/powder bar system, you will know it is impossible to over charge....very safe system.
